Viswanathan apologizes to McCafferty

As an update to my earlier post, Kaavya Viswanathan (How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life) admitted to “unintentional and unconscious” similarities... Viswanathan stated she was a big fan of the books and author she was accused of plagiarizing. This whole scenario just proves the old adage: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flatttery." Fortunately, Ms McCafferty received the "gentlemanly" outcome she wanted. Unfortunately for Viswanathan, her book and movie deals may not end so well. (Anyone remember James Frey?) Time will tell.
