Small Press Month

March 1st began the 10th annual celebration of small presses. As a bookseller, I'd love to deal exclusively in small press publications. As a collector, I purchase many books from fine and small presses. Every day, hopefully, a different small press will be featured.

Please meet
Aralia Press. Established in 1983, Aralia Press is run by Michael Peich on the campus of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Aralia is a fine press that specializes in poetry and has "featured the best work from a large and diverse group of poets," including the very well-known Dave Mason, Steve Miller and Dana Gioia. Select new poets are featured, also. The books are limited editions "produced from handset types and printed letterpress on fine papers."

I hope you will join me in the exploration of small presses this month. If you love quality and diversity, you'll be here.

The abovementioned authors' works may be purchased at Aralia Press, your local independent bookstore, or by searching by title or author at
Bookfinder.com.
