A blast from the past

Here are 2 archived IOBA Standards' articles covering two prominent listing services that in recent times caused booksellers angst of one sort or other. Interesting reading!

A Conversation with ABE April 2000

A Conversation with Dick Weatherford of Alibris November 2000
My favorite part of this interview is the part that begins with: "We are NOT a listing service. Alibris is a dealer and we have never made any bones about this. We don’t charge a fee to list with us and we buy our members’ books when they are sold and we assume the risks of that sale and even pay the postage." Amazing how time changes all things.
